Spice Racks and Surprises at Tuesday Mornings

In my last blog I talked about how I made more room in my cabinets by buying wine racks and getting the wine bottles out of my kitchen cabinets. Things were so cramped in my kitchen cabinets that I hardly had room for my everyday dishes and glassware. Getting the wine bottles out really helped, but I still had to make more space. I have lots of spice jars and bottles and they were also in the kitchen cabinets. It was time for them to go somewhere else too.

I needed to decide if I wanted my spices to remain in the cabinets or if I wanted a wall hanging spice rack. I saw some wire spice racks that hang on the inside of kitchen cabinets and I kinda liked that idea, but my cabinets are already so full they wouldn't have worked. I never would have been able to get the cabinets closed! Then I saw spice racks that go inside drawers, but my drawers aren't deep enough to accommodate them. I looked online at wall mounted spice racks and saw many, but none that was large enough to hold all my spices and I didn't see one that went with my Tuscan theme.

I generally do most of my shopping on the internet. I find that it a) saves time and b) generally gives a much larger selection of products. However, there is one place locally that I love to go and explore.

I'm sure you've heard of Tuesday Mornings. We have several here in our area and they are the ultimate "stuff shop". Tuesday Mornings have lots of "stuff" , neat "stuff" you don't find in Walmart or Target or Macy's or anywhere else for that matter. Tuesday Mornings has lots of one of a kind pottery and decorative pieces and some truly great buys if you're lucky. I found the Italian pottery design that I collect, Raffaellesco, in Tuesday Mornings once - a large vase and a tea pot for an absolute steal. I've haven't seen any in there since.

I went snooping around in Tuesday Mornings last week for a spice rack. You won't believe what I found....
